Anodizing
Anodizing
This process of chemical oxidation is based on the electrolysis that is developed on the surface of the profiles. A layer of aluminum oxide is formed by immersing the aluminum in a sulfuring acid bath and producing the circulation of a continuous current through an electrolyte. This anodic layer hardens the surface making it more resistant to abrasion and corrosion and gives a decorative look through a wide range of colors, making it an ideal solution for multiple applications for its excellent physical and decorative qualities.
Thanks to its 3 anodizing plants STRUGAL can offer a wide variety of colors and finishes: matte, gloss, burnished, re-polished, inox (stainless steel)…
With the anodizing process, many advantages are obtained:
- Increases corrosion resistance
- Increases abrasion resistance
- Increases wear resistance
- Improves paint adhesion
- Extensive finishing options
- Improves electrical insulation
- Repels dirt and dust
